Oakland County Mediation and Education Center
Oakland Mediation Center is a non-profit, volunteer based corporation that helps Oakland County residents resolve disputes in a peaceful, respectful manner. Formed in 1989 by the Oakland Bar Association, OMC was established to provide an alternative to the judicial process. Unlike the adversarial nature of litigation, mediation involves mutual problem solving, where the parties generate options they believe would best resolve the conflict. OMC offers a range of services including mediation, conciliation, facilitation and education services to Oakland County residents, organizations, schools and businesses.
